Sea Salted Caramels
I happened to be browsing the tube earlier this week when I came across one my favourite Canadian shows, Dragons' Den, where entrepreneurs pitch their business ideas to a group of multi-millionaires with the hopes of getting an investment offer (You may have seen the American spinoff of the show on ABC, Shark Tank). What caught my eye on this particular occasion was a woman named Erin who calls herself the Happy Baker. She created and self-published a cookbook that combines delicious recipes with anecdotal tales of her dating mishaps. I was intrigued and immediately had to check out her website.
I've always been a fan of sweet and salty treats so this recipe for "It's Not Me, It's You Sea Salted Caramels" immediately caught my eye. This recipe was incredibly easy to make and is now officially one of my favourite desserts - I have pretty much been living on a diet of sea salted caramels all week! I may just have to head down to my local bookstore this week to check out Erin's book; her cleverly titled recipes and dating stories that were shared on the website had me laughing out loud!
