Mixing the Old and the New


Skirt: Forever 21, Top: Urban Outfitters (old), Belt: Winners, Shoes: Steve Madden "Melrow", Necklace: ? (old), Sunglasses: RayBan, Watch: Citizen.

I must admit, my closet is ready for a much needed cleaning and organizing session. Despite saying this, I have discovered a benefit to having a disorganized closet. It is so fun to 'find' clothes that you forgot you had; much like finding money in the pocket of your winter coat from the year before. I was rifling through my closet looking for a top that would look cute with this Forever 21 skirt, and I came across this cute top that I bought a few years ago which must have gotten buried in the back of my closet. I put it on and it was exactly what I wanted to go with the skirt. In the spirit of mixing the old with the new, I went through my closet and rediscovered this belt and necklace from several years ago. I guess sometimes it pays to keep the clothes you aren't sure if you will ever wear again!

    Those shoes are super pretty!
    And I get what you mean ... I used to have a very, very small closet (thank you, college crap sized apartments) so when I moved into our new house, I found SO many things I hadn't seen in around two years.
    It was like Christmas in the middle of June! :P

    that is so true about a disorganized closet! i always lose things and search the house/my sisters' closets until it magically appears behind some oversized sweater or something
