Athletic Chic
T-shirt: Alternative Apparel, skirt: Topshop, cardigan: Joe Fresh, oxfords: Kimchi Blue, necklace: homemade, sunglasses: Oliver Peoples.
Lately I've been playing around with the concept of mixing an athletic or casual top with a dressier, feminine skirt to create new looks with the pieces that are already in my closet. I had fun creating a casual look with this ultra feminine skirt and I love the how its style contrasts with the crewneck t-shirt.
Starting this blog has inspired me to 'shop my closet' more often and mix and match pieces that I never would have thought would work together. Thank you to all of the fabulous bloggers out there who are a constant inspiration to me!

That skirt is perfect! And so is the cardigan!! Up here in the Midwest, we wear those babies everyday in the winter ;-)
ReplyDeleteLove the skirt! Perfect amount of retro-inspired adorableness in a decidedly uncostumey way and the cardi is the perfect counterpart!

First of all, I love the skirt! Secondly, the casual/dress combination is such a great one because it is so versatile. You really can "double" your closet by mixing pieces in new ways. Love the outfit!!

This is such a cute outfit. I love how casual it is, but yet the unexpected skirt element keeps it a step above. Great combo!!
